CASS CO., N.D. (KFGO/KVRR) -The first bridge to carry traffic over a stormwater diversion channel in Cass County is now open.
The County Road 4/31 crossing opened east of Argusville.
Construction on the bridge began in September 2023 and is part of the realignment of County Roads 4 and 31.
Now that the crossing is open to traffic, construction to remove the remaining portions of County Road 4 within the channel will begin immediately.
The pedestrian and bike path on the side of the bridge is closed until spring when final construction work can be done and it will not impact vehicle traffic.
The channel is part of the larger FM Area Diversion project.
