GRAND FORKS, N.D. (KFGO) – Grand Forks Police officers responded to a two-vehicle crash around 7:30 Wednesday night.
Police say an SUV driven by 19-year-old Boeden Allen was traveling westbound on 17th Avenue South and a pickup driven by 20-year-old Kendall Bergquist who was traveling eastbound on the same avenue. As both vehicles neared the intersection of South Columbia Road, Bergquist attempted to turn northbound in front of Allen’s vehicle causing the crash. Both vehicles were heavily damaged.
Bergquist was transported to Altru Hospital as a precaution. He was charged with DUI and was also cited for failure to yield at a controlled intersection. The other driver was not injured.
