FARGO (KFGO) – Fargo City Commissioner John Strand has been appointed to a third one-year term as Vice Chair of the National League of Cities Human Development Federal Advocacy Committee.
Strand will provide strategic direction and guidance on issues like workforce development, children and education, public health, substance use, veterans, seniors, and immigration. In the role, Strand will advocate for cities in front of congress.
“It is an honor to join the leadership of the National League of Cities Human Development Federal Advocacy Committee. I am grateful for the opportunity to learn from elected officials from across the country and share the lessons of Fargo’s exceptional local government,” Strand said.
