FARGO (KFGO KVRR) – Wednesday is considered busiest air travel day of the year as people travel by air for the Thanksgiving holiday.
It was no different at Hector International Airport in Fargo, where they see an increase in passengers throughout the week before and after the holiday. While they rarely see delays at T.S.A. or inside the airport, the weather can play a factor and it may take a little bit longer for your flight to take off.
The construction of the new parking garage at the airport could also lead to delays for pick-ups and drop-offs.
“Pack a bag of patience. Be very patient, but get to the airport early. Every airline has a recommended time to be at the airport if you’re traveling domestically or international, but get there early. Make sure that you have the airline app downloaded to your phone so that your boarding pass is readily available,” said Airport Authority Executive Director and airport manager Shawn Dobberstein.
Flights at Hector can be affected by delays and weather in other parts of the country.
