MOORHEAD (KFGO) – A person of interest was quickly identified and taken in for questioning following a bank robbery in south Moorhead Friday morning.
Police later arrested Eric Flynn, 44, of Moorhead. He was booked into the Clay County Correctional Center for first-degree aggravated robbery.
Police Captain Deric Swenson says the call from the First International Bank branch in the Azool shopping plaza came in at about 8:20.
Swenson says within 20 minutes, officers had the potential suspect in custody. Flynn was found at the Bison Suite Lodge on 8th Street, just north of the bank. He had a room at the motel. Swenson says the money taken in the holdup was recovered. Clothing that matched the description of the robber provided by bank employees was also recovered.
Swenson says Moorhead officers were assisted by Clay County deputies and agents with the Fargo office of the FBI.
