MINNEAPOLIS – A 40-year-old man who was shot and critically injured by St. Paul Police is now charged in a triple homicide at a Minneapolis homeless encampment.
Earl Bennett faces three counts of second-degree murder for the Oct. 27 shooting. 32-year-old Louis Lemons of Brooklyn Center and 38-year-old Christopher Washington of Fridley both died at the scene. 35-year-old Samantha Joe of St. Louis Park, died Saturday.
Bennett was shot on Oct. 28 for shooting another person, in which he faces an attempted murder charge. He is in the hospital in stable condition.
