ST. PAUL, Minn. – The latest national polls suggest Vice President Kamala Harris and former President Donald Trump are tied with 49% support the day before the election, but Hamline University Professor David Schultz says two groups of people may be underrepresented in these surveys.
“The polls may not be capturing the depth and degree to which women are motivated to vote,” Schultz said. “I think the whole election comes down to what people under the age of 30 are going to do. If they show up, Harris wins. If they don’t show up, Trump wins.”
Schultz notes that women are 53% to 54% of the voters in the US.
