Donald Bartlette and Nicholas Wride-Arnold
GRAND FORKS, N.D. (KFGO) โ A homeless man is facing a murder charge in the death of another man in the victimโs Grand Forks apartment last Thursday night. Donald Bartlette, 45, is accused in beating death of 49-year-old Anthony Kiehl.
An affidavit of probable cause summary says Kiehl suffered multiple injuries to his head and face. Bartlette told another man living in the apartment building that Kiehl came at him with a knife and he had to beat him up. Bartlette told investigators that he was defending himself and that Kiehl had attacked him. Another man, Nicholas Wrinde-Arnold, was arrested for conspiracy to commit murder. Kiehl was found unresponsive and died later at Altru Hospital.
Police say they recovered a knife in a search of Kiehlโs apartment and two wooden legs of a coffee table that showed the presence of blood.
The apartment building, on Cherry Street, is owned the Grand Forks Housing Authority.
