Betty (Rooker)McBeain was born September 21,1948. The daughter of Clara (Balliet) and LeRoy Sr. Rooker. The sister of Rose Hettich, Hazelton, Kathryn, and Roger Skachenko , Bismarck and Alice Thompson, Mandan; LeRoy Jr . Rooker,Hazelton, Richard, Harold, and Diane Rooker, all from Bismarck.
Betty and her family farmed in the Hazelton area until 1972. Her parents moved into Temvik, and at that time, Betty moved to Fargo,N.D. She then married Gary McBeain, June 24,1974.
Betty and Gary McBeain had 5 children.
Clifford McBeain, Fargo, Betty and Arthur Haugan, Moorhead, Clara Easley ( Corey Becker) , Fargo, John McBeain (Kari Flock), Fargo, Mary and Jawd Alshubbary ,Fargo. 12 grandkids,and 4 great grandkids. ( many nieces and nephews).
Betty loved the outdoors, gardening, and spending time with her family. ( especially having her coffee at Randy’s Restaurant) Betty attended rural school up to the 8th grade. Then, she helped out her family on the farm. Betty later on got her GED in May of 1993. She was a ” stay at home mom” and ” housewife.” Betty also enjoyed volunteering at the Newlife Center and Dakota Boys Ranch. later, Betty worked as a housekeeper at Motel 6 until she got osteoporosis, but she still continued her volunteer with Dakota Boys Ranch. July 29, 2008, she lost her husband from lung cancer. Then, in 2022, Betty ended up with colon cancer with dementia. on June 17th, 2023, she entered Bethany retirement living in a skilled nursing home. Betty lived there until she passed away October 22,2024.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Clara and LeRoy Sr Rooker, 2 sisters, Adelaide Rooker in 1962, Mary Mitchell in 1991, and a brother Roger Rooker 2021, her husband Gary McBeain in 2008.
