GRAND FORKS, N.D. (KFGO)—A Grand Forks man has been arrested and faces several charges following a domestic incident Wednesday night.
Grand Forks Police were called to 627 4th Avenue S. shortly after 10 p.m. for a domestic disturbance that quickly escalated into a house fire.
Police say 36-year-old James Laducer was inside the home when he got into a fight with a woman and seriously injured her. He then set various objects on fire in the house. Also inside the residence were two young children.
Ladoucer tried to flee the scene from a second-floor window but officers stopped him outside where he started another fight, this time with police before he was taken into custody.
Ladoucer was arrested on three counts of endangerment by fire, preventing arrest, and domestic aggravating assault.
Everyone involved was checked by Altru Health Systems staff.
