FARGO (KFGO) – No one was hurt in an apartment fire in south Fargo Wednesday morning.
Fargo Fire Battalion Chief Lee Soeth says a passerby reported seeing smoke from a 3rd floor balcony in the building at 1130 23rd Street S.
“When we arrived on-scene, crews had some fire showing, along with heavy smoke,” Soeth says. “[They] put out the fire from the outside. Crews advanced to the inside and found light smoke, but the fire had not breached into the apartment.”
One person was home at the time, and got out unharmed.
Soeth says the fire was contained to the deck and outside of the building and was put out within about five minutes.
The cause is being investigated.
