ATLANTA, G.A. (KFGO) – A Fargo man wanted for an August murder has been arrested in Atlanta. 34-year-old Leo Dartoe was located and arrested by U.S. Marshalls and the Atlanta Police Department Friday.
Fargo Police have been searching for Dartoe since August 24. He’d been listed as a suspect in the shooting death of 35-year-old Sampson Bleh. Bleh was shot in the chest at a south Fargo apartment building August 23. He was pronounced dead at the hospital.
Police believed Dartoe had left the Fargo area and was possibly in Philadelphia, where he and Bleh are from.
Dartoe is currently held in an Atlanta jail, and is awaiting extradition back to North Dakota.
Another man is already facing charges in the homicide. Geettoe Kamara was arrested the day of the murder for drug possession. He was later charged with accomplice to murder. Police say Kamara stole fentanyl pills from Bleh’s pockets after he was shot but while he was still alive.
