MOORHEAD (KFGO) – Charges have been upgraded against the man accused of killing a 14-year-old girl and leaving her body near the Red River in Moorhead in August.
A Clay County grand jury has indicted 18-year-old Isaac Arndt for premeditated first degree murder and second degree murder with intent for the stabbing death of Jaelyn Walker of Moorhead.
Arndt initially claimed he and Walker were followed in Gooseberry Park, but later admitted to stabbing Walker, cutting her throat, giving her a hug, and then stabbing her one more time in the back before dragging her body to the river and leaving the scene.
Walker’s body was found later that day.
Bail has been set at $4 million with no conditions or $2 million with conditions.
Arndt’s next court appearance is Nov. 7.
