WEST FARGO (KFGO) A student at Cheney Middle School has been arrested for making two threats towards the school.
Principal Amber Rudolph said in a statement to parents that the student confessed to making a threat on social media Friday and again on Sunday. The student was then arrested for terrorizing.
Rudolph says the student did not have the means to carry out their threats, and had no intention to do so. The student will be prosecuted and face consequences from the district.
The school district is asking parents to use this as a lesson to teach their children how to use social media appropriately. The district says middle school students need help making good decisions, and it is the parents responsibility to help their kids understand how serious threats of violence are.
