MANKATO, MINN.– Jury selection began Monday in Mankato for the man accused of killing Madeline Kingsbury of Winona.
Adam Fravel is facing first- and second-degree murder charges in the March 2023 disappearance and death of Kingsbury.
A judge granted a request from Fravel’s lawyers to move the trial out of Winona County due to pre-trial publicity.
Prosecutors expect it to take three to four days to pick the jury in Blue Earth County.
More than 150 witnesses have been identified by both sides.
