
GRAND FORKS, N.D. (KFGO) โ The Grand Forks Fire Department responded to an apartment complex for a cooking fire just after 5 yesterday evening.
When crews arrived, they found smoke inside the apartment. The fire was put out quickly, but the kitchen had moderate fire damage, and the rest of the unit had minor smoke damage.
Firefighters ventilated the building, and all residents were able to return to their apartments, except for those in the affected unit, who had to find another place to stay for the night.
The fire was ruled accidental, caused by unattended cooking. No injuries were reported.
The Grand Forks Fire Department would like to remind residents to never leave cooking unattended.
