Lincoln, Neb. (KFGO) – The new U-S Drought Monitor map shows more than 80 percent of Minnesota is now considered abnormally dry.
That’s up from just over 50 percent last week. About 15-and-a-half percent of the state is in a moderate drought. Those areas include northeastern Minnesota, part of central Minnesota, and the southwest corner of the state.
Minnesota is drying out this fall following record rainfall from April through June.
