Ponsford girl taken into custody after making school shooting threat in Becker County

PONSFORD, Minn. (KFGO) – Pine Point School in Becker County canceled school Friday after a threat of violence.   

The Sheriff’s Office says Thursday night, a report came in of a possible credible school shooting threat. The investigation led to a 13-year-old girl in Ponsford.   

The girl was taken into custody for threats of violence.   

While there was no danger to school students or staff, classes were canceled out of abundance of caution.
