FORDVILLE, N.D. (KFGO) – The North Dakota Highway Patrol reported a motorcycle crash with serious injuries after a deer ran onto the road and struck the bike, just before 8 p.m. last night.
The rider was traveling northbound on N.D. Highway 32, approximately 5 miles southwest of Fordville, when a deer ran onto the roadway from the west and collided with the motorcycle. The rider was able to maintain control, coming to rest in the northbound lane.
The 69-year-old man from Inkster, N.D., was transported by Park River Ambulance to Altru Hospital in Grand Forks. He was wearing a helmet at the time of the crash and sustained serious injuries.
The North Dakota Highway Patrol, Walsh County Sheriff’s Office, Fordville Fire & Rescue, and Park River Ambulance responded to the scene.
