Denver company to buy western North Dakota ethanol facility

RICHARDTON, N.D. (KFGO) – A Colorado company is buying a western North Dakota ethanol plant to produce aviation fuel.    

Denver-based Gevo has agreed to pay $210 million dollars to purchase Red Trail Energy in Richardton.   

The facility produces 65 million gallons of ethanol per year.
