
PLYMOUTH, Minn. (KFGO) – Minnesota State Patrol report a pedestrian was struck and killed while attempting to cross Highway 55 Saturday evening.
The car was eastbound on Highway 55 driven by 68-year-old Dawn Tomlinson, and one passenger 69-year-old David Craig, both from Eagan Minnesota. The pedestrian, a 70-year-old man from Minneapolis, was at the intersection of South Shore Drive and Highway 55 when he attempted to cross traffic and was struck and killed.
The car had a green light. The man was crossing the highway against the traffic signal and was not in a crosswalk.
Neither vehicle occupant had been consuming alcohol. Pedestrian suspected of alcohol.
The name of the victim will be released at a later date.
