
MINOT, N.D. (KFGO) – Minot Police were dispatched to a downtown location Thursday afternoon for a welfare check regarding a 16-year-old girl suspected of driving a stolen vehicle.
Around 1:45, officers discovered the girl had fled the area. Shortly after, police located the suspect vehicle near Trinity Hospital. The car was spotted, the driver was recklessly driving, nearly hitting several cars in the parking lot.
Initially the suspect fled from the officer, but eventually stopped near the hospital entrance and was taken into custody without further incident. The 16-year-old from Williston was the sole occupant. She faces juvenile referral charges for possession of a stolen vehicle and two counts of fleeing in a motor vehicle.
No injuries were reported during the incident.
