Joshua Potter (Cass County Jail)
FARGO (KFGO) โ A Moorhead man arrested in Fargo Thursday for a June stabbing has now been charged.
According to court records, 35-year-old Joshua Potter was wanted for attempted murder after he stabbed a man in south Fargo.
After the stabbing, the victim and his girlfriend told officers a person they didnโt know tried to rob the victim and slit his throat.
Investigators later learned Potter actually stabbed the man. When investigators talked to the woman again, she told them that she and the men were driving around Fargo the night of the stabbing. They stopped at a convenience store to use the businessโs Wi-Fi to make phone calls.
The woman says Potter was driving the van and left the parking lot before the victim was done with his phone call. The men began to argue and Potter stopped the van. He crawled into the back and stabbed the victim.
Potter then apologized and drove the victim and his girlfriend to a hospital.
Thursday an officer found Potter in downtown Fargo and arrested him for a shoplifting warrant, drug possession, and attempted murder.
Potter is charged with aggravated assault, terrorizing, and drug possession.
