BROOKLYN PARK, Minn. (KFGO) – Brooklyn Park Police responded to a report of a woman being mauled by her multiple dogs Tuesday night, just before 9:30 at an apartment complex.
A security guard for the complex suffered injuries to his left hand attempting to stop the attack. Upon arrival, officers located a woman with severe injuries from her by her three pit bulls. Officers immediately provided aid until she was transported to the hospital where she remains in critical but stable condition.
The cause of the attack is still unknown. The dogs belonged to the victim and her boyfriend. One of the dogs was euthanized on-scene. The other two dogs were taken into custody; The second was injured during the attack and later euthanized due to the severity of injuries during the struggle with the security guard. The third dog is quarantined at an animal shelter.
