FARGO (KFGO) – Fargo Police had asked the public to avoid a south side neighborhood after a man ran from officers near 45th Ave. and 47th St., west of the Osgood Hornbacher’s Wednesday morning. Shortly before 2 p.m., a man was removed from a home in handcuffs and placed in a squad car. Found in a home and arrested was Marc Ronald Young, 23, of Fargo.
A resident told KFGO News reporter Ryan Janke that officers asked him to check his home and yard, but the man did not find anything suspicious.
Lt. Shane Aberle says officers established a perimeter and were using K9s and drones. Police officers and Cass County deputies entered a home in the 4400 block of 47th St. Young was wanted for simple domestic assault-violence and refusal to halt. There was also an outstanding warrant for felony theft.
Neighbors expressed concerned initially that the search was related to last week’s homicide in Fargo. But, police quickly confirmed that the search was not related to the homicide. They continue to search for the suspect in that case, 34-year-old Leo Dartoe of Fargo. He’s accused of shooting a friend, 35-year-old Sampson Bleh, in the chest at an apartment in the 2200 block of 12th Ave. S.
