I recently got home from the Democratic National Convention in Chicago, and I have to tell you, it was exciting. The atmosphere and energy was contagious to say the least. The type of energy that might just carry to November.
The Republicans don’t want to run against Vice President Kamala Harris. In fact, I could make an argument that they’re not running against her. Time and time again, you’ll catch them complaining about Joe Biden dropping out of the race. Or more specifically, they seem to focus on Biden being pushed out if it. My advice to Republicans would be to get over it.
There’s only one person that’s responsible for Joe getting out of the race, and that’s Joe himself. The decision was his to make, as the spot on the ballot was his. I have no doubt that certain people encouraged him to drop out, especially after his performance in the debate against Donald Trump. But in the end, it was his decision.
Now Donald Trump is the old man in the race for the White House. Seventy-eight years old to be exact, which is old enough to make a difference in the race. That’s old enough to stumble and show that he does not have the energy to campaign, and will show if he has enough energy to govern for four years.
I don’t know who’s ahead in this race, but I do know who’s getting worried. Trump doesn’t know how to run against Harris. She’s young, attractive, and she knows how to push back. I saw that in Chicago, and so did America. She went from being a woman everyone said “someday” about, to a woman that many are people saying “now” about.
In the end, it’ll be up to her. The time to make her case to America is short, so she needs to get out there and show her strengths. Kamala Harris needs to show us she’s ready for the job she’s campaigning for. For people like me that saw her on the stage in Chicago, it’s already been proven. Now it’s time to prove it to the rest of America.
Something tells me she will.
Good riding with you,
Joel
