LITTLETON, Colo. (KFGO) – One of the four former Minneapolis police officers convicted in the killing of George Floyd is out of prison on supervised probation.
41-year-old Thomas Lane was released Tuesday from a low-security federal prison in Littleton, Colorado. Lane was sentenced to 2 1/2 years in federal prison for violating the civil rights of Floyd. He remained in custody in Colorado to finish his state sentence for aiding and abetting second-degree murder.
Derek Chauvin is serving a 20-year federal sentence at the same time as his 22-year state sentence for second-degree murder and manslaughter.
