MINNEAPOLIS – More than 100 Twin Cities activists and community members plan to protest the war in Gaza at the Democratic National Convention.
The group left Minnesota Sunday night for Chicago. Organizers say they will demand protections for immigrants, interventions in the climate crisis, and an end to funding what they call Israel’s occupation of Palestine.
The Minnesota Anti-War Committee says they’ve been pressuring Governor Tim Walz to divest state public worker pensions from Israeli companies, but lack of movement has brought them to protest in Chicago.
