Imagine waking up in the morning and finding out the man you just beat in a debate is no longer running against you. A man that you were certain you were going to beat this fall. That’s what’s happened to Donald Trump. And to say he’s pissed off would be an understatement.
So, the question becomes, What will Trump do about it? That answer was easy to predict. He goes back to doing what he does best. He attempts to divide and conquer. He calls all the names, he lies, and most of all, he becomes vicious.
The problem this time is that it doesn’t appear to be working. Kamala Harris is getting the crowds, press, and most importantly to Donald, she appears to be getting the ratings.
Never forget that Donald Trump went from being a known man to a TV star. The Apprentice took him to a whole new level, and that wouldn’t have happened without the ratings. Ratings that when they went away, got him fired. Fired because his show had become a one-note song, just like his campaign has become.
Trump looks at crowd sizes the same way. If he sees a huge crowd with amazing energy, he feels his ratings are high. If he sees crowds like he’s been having lately with arenas half full and people sitting on their hands, he knows his ratings are down.
That’s why he’s become so undisciplined. He’s panicking because he knows where the energy is, and it’s not with him. So just like The Apprentice, he’s scared he’s about to be cancelled.
But there is good news for Trump: there’s always reruns. They just don’t play in the prime-time.
Good riding with you,
Joel
