MANKATO, Minn. – After being demolished by flooding that caused a southern Minnesota dam to fail, the Rapidan Dam Store is on the move to reopen.
The store, originally right next to the Rapidan Dam, was bought by Blue Earth County in June to be demolished so it didn’t fall into the Blue Earth River. The Mankato City Council signed off Monday to move the Dam Store into a building formerly known as the Wagon Wheel Cafe.
It’s unknown when the store will reopen.
