MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. (KFGO) – A Mexican cartel-linked Twin Cities man and others have been charged with trafficking meth and other drugs in the Twin Cities. In all, fifteen people have been charged in Minneapolis.
US Attorney Andy Luger says Clinton Ward was the leader of the trafficking organization. He says it made millions of dollars over several years importing and selling deadly narcotics. He says the drug ring sold methamphetamine, cocaine and fentanyl.
More than 1,600lbs of meth that was on its way to Minnesota was seized during the investigation. Luger says it is one of the largest and most extensive drug distribution rings ever in Minnesota.
