Starmaine Hoeper (Cass Co. Jail)
FARGO (KFGO) – The Cass County Sheriff’s Office is reporting an arrest in a Wednesday night shooting south of Fargo.
Starmaine Hoeper, 32, of Moorhead is expected to face charges of attempted murder, having a gun as a felon and drug possession.
Hoeper was arrested Thursday night during a traffic stop on I-94 in fargo. Deputies and officers with the Metro Street Crimes Unit made the stop. The investigation continues into whether others were involved in the shooting.
The victim called 911 to report that he’d been shot. He was found with critical injuries on the KFGO tower-transmitter site on Highway 81. It’s believed the shooting took place nearby.
The sheriff’s office says Hoeper and the victim are known to one another.
