FARGO (KFGO/KVRR) – Fargo Airsho is this weekend and you might have heard or seen that the Blue Angels are already in town and doing some practice runs.
They will headline the airshow on Saturday and Sunday at 3 p.m. daily.
You will see the Blue Angels flying six, Boeing F/A-18 Super Hornets. The team’s Commander Alex Armatas says, “It’s great to be here. We get to travel to 32 show sites every year; this is one of those show sites. It’s extremely exciting to be allowed to travel around the country and meet all these great folks. Meet people in every corner of the country and showcase the teamwork and professionalism of the United States Navy-Marine Corps.”
This year, the Blue Angels have their first female jet demonstration pilot, Lieutenant Commander Amanda Lee joining them in the sky. They will also be practicing over the FM metro again today (Friday).
You’ll also see “Fat Albert” and other planes do formations and solo flying.
