FARGO (KFGO) – Flames and smoke heavily damaged a Fargo home Thursday evening.
Fargo firefighters were called to the home at 16th Street and 3rd Ave S just after 6.
According to the Fargo Fire Department, a caller reported a person had been on the roof, but believed she jumped down.
Firefighters saw smoke in the neighborhood, and flames were visible on the south side of the house.
Two people were home at the time of the fire. One person was treated on scene for minor injuries.
Fire Chief Steve Dirksen says firefighters had a hard time accessing the fire on the second story because the stairs were compromised.
The flames were knocked down quickly, and crews vented smoke out of the house.
The Red Cross is assisting the displaced residents. Dirksen says the cause of the fire is under investigation. A damage estimate was not available.
