ST. JOSEPH, Minn. – The central Minnesota law enforcement community is remembering retired Sartell Police Chief Bob Ringstrom.
The 74-year-old Ringstrom died after he was struck by a semi while on his bicycle Friday in St. Joseph.
Sartell police credit Ringstrom with starting the school resource officer program in the Sartell-St. Stephen School District and say he was a respected leader to his staff and the community.
The Marine veteran was with the Hutchinson Police Department before serving 14 years as chief in Sartell. Ringstrom was born in Devils Lake, North Dakota and graduated from Jamestown High School.
