JAMESTOWN, N.D. (KFGO) โ A teenage girl who had been reported as a possible runaway is back home and safe after an extensive investigation and the arrest of a high-risk sex offender by Jamestown police.
Jamestown police were contacted last Saturday by a family member of the girl who was reported missing from a western North Dakota community. The caller indicated the teenager may be in Jamestown and was being held against her will.
Police identified a suspect as 38-year-old Loring Riel Sky Rush, of Jamestown, a registered high-risk sex offender. Investigators allege that Rush had returned the girl to her home and that she had been with him from May 23 until June 9.
Tuesday, Rush was located and arrested on suspicion of Felony Corruption or Solicitation of a Minor and transported to Stutsman County Correctional Center, where he awaits formal charges.
The investigation is ongoing, and additional charges are expected.
