
MINNEAPOLIS – There’s still no verdict in the Feeding Our Future federal fraud trial following three days of jury deliberations. The jury was unable to reach a verdict in the case Thursday.
The first seven defendants are on trial for their roles in the 250 million-dollar scheme to defraud the federal Child Nutrition program. Prosecutors allege they used funds intended to feed children during the COVID-19 pandemic on cars, luxury items, and properties.
The F-B-I is investigating a potential bribery scheme in which a juror was offered 120 thousand dollars in cash to acquit the defendants. Two jurors have been dismissed this week.
