EAGLE BUTTE, S.D. – A 9-year-old boy was killed by a pack of feral dogs on the Cheyenne River Reservation in northwest South Dakota over the weekend.
Chairman Ryman Lebeau told tribal members the boy was found dead near a bike path. An autopsy confirmed the boy’s injuries were from the dogs.
Lebeau says animal control will be patrolling the reservation and picking up any animals that are not tied up, leashed, or within a fenced area.
