Duluth-based National Guard 148th Fighter Wing
DULUTH, Minn. (KFGO) – The Minnesota National Guard’s 148th Fighter Wing in Duluth will deploy personnel and aircraft overseas this summer as part of a regularly scheduled deployment. They are not able to release the location of the deployment and they did not say how long the deployment will last.
The “Bulldogs” of the 148th unit flies the Block 50 F-16CM, Fighting Falcon, the newest and considered the most capable F-16 in the U.S. Air Force Fleet. The Duluth fighter wing is home to more than 1,000 airmen.
The 148th has previously deployed overseas, most recently in 2022 to Prince Sultan Air Base, Saudi Arabi
