INVER GROVE HEIGHTS, Minn. โ CHS, the nationโs largest agricultural cooperative, has signed a letter of intent to acquire a west-central Minnesota cooperative.
CHS Executive Vice President of Ag Retail, Distribution, and Transportation Rick Dusek, says there are several reasons to move forward with Ulen-based West Central Ag Services. That includes aligning supply chains, connecting the local growers to the global marketplace, and creating more efficiencies. Dusek says, โWe feel we are better together than we are apart.โ
He says the cooperatives have worked together on a joint venture called Central Plains Ag Services in eastern North Dakota:
Dusek says CHS and West Central Ag Services will now begin due diligence on the proposed transaction, subject to necessary approvals.
