WASHINGTON (KFGO) – KFGO News has again captured two regional Edward R. Murrow Awards for broadcast news excellence.
The Radio Television Digital News Association (RTDNA) recognized KFGO News for coverage of the deadly police shooting in Fargo last July and for the “Live @ 5” newscast on Oct. 30, 2023.
The regional winners advance to the national Edward R. Murrow Awards competition. That ceremony will be held October 14 in New York City. Since 1971, RTDNA has been honoring outstanding achievements in broadcast and digital journalism with the Murrow Awards, among the most prestigious in the industry.
KFGO News has won dozens of regional Murrows in the past and eight national Murrow Awards. No other radio or television station in North Dakota was honored with regional Murrows in the latest competition.
KFGO News is in Region 4 of RTDNA which covers Minnesota, North Dakota, South Dakota and Wisconsin.
