PINE RIVER, Minn. – The Minnesota State Patrol is reporting a third person has died from injuries suffered in a head-on crash early Sunday morning in Cass County.
State troopers say a pickup driven by 32-year-old Kyle Jones of Bayport collided with a car driven by 39-year-old Royal Noe from Hillman in Pine River Township.
Noe and 50-year-old Heather Ceballos of Brainerd died at the scene. The updated report says 36-year-old Corey Peterson of Brainerd was also killed in the collision. Jones and his passenger were taken to the hospital with life-threatening injuries.
Investigators believe alcohol was involved.
