FARGO (KFGO) – Court documents are providing more information about a downtown Fargo assault that left one man with serious injuries to his head and face.
Travice Ledoux, 36, was arrested Friday, and is charged with aggravated assault and accomplice to aggravated assault.
According to court records, Ledoux – known in those documents as suspect #4 – was one of multiple people involved in a fight on April 6th.
It began when two men started fighting on NP Avenue west of Broadway. Two other men, who claim they were trying to break up that fight, each suffered injuries after five more people – including Ledoux – came upon the scene.
Ledoux is accused of punching a man and shoving him to the ground. He’s also accused, along with five others, of continuing to assault one of the first two men as he was pinned into a corner of the Sports Bar entryway.
Court records say a total of six suspects were involved in what is referred to as a brawl and each are accused of either punching, kicking, or stomping at least one of three men.
- Suspect #1 (who was involved in the original fight) is accused of stomping one of the men as he was lying on the ground and punching and kicking another man unconscious.
- Suspect #2 is accused of punching two of the men, as well as shoving one of them to the ground and stealing his cell phone. He also punched one of the men as he tried to sit up.
- Suspect #3 is accused of punching two of the men.
- Suspect #5 (a man) is accused of punching one of the men, eventually knocking him to the ground.
- Suspect #6 (a woman) is accused of stomping one man’s face twice.
Sam Pikula is one of the two men who claims to have been trying to break up the original fight. He suffered a broken nose, broken orbital bones, and a forehead injury so severe surgeons had to place a titanium plate in his head. Court records do not indicate he actively participated in the brawl.
The other man who claims to have been trying to break up the fight was knocked unconscious and suffered a broken tooth and bruising. He also had his cell phone stolen. Court records do not indicate he actively participated in the brawl.
Injuries to the third man, who court records say was involved in the first fight, aren’t mentioned in court documents.
Fargo Police say the case is under investigation and they are trying to identify others involved.
