DEVILS LAKE, N.D. – After interviewing two finalists, the Devils Lake City Commission voted to remove the interim tag from Police chief Jason Toso and picked him to continue leading the police department.
The other finalist for the job was Travis Zahn who is a special agent with the Lake Region Narcotics Task Force. Toso will be paid just under $103,000 a year, plus benefits.
Retired State Patrol Lt. Troy Hischer, now a prisoner-transport deputy with the Cass County Sheriff’s Office in Fargo, withdrew his name from consideration.
