
STATEWIDE, Minn. (KFGO) – The stream trout season opens Saturday in all six regions of Minnesota.
DNR coordinator Benji Kohn says there are lots of great opportunities to reel in a trout in Minnesota. He says we have over 3,800 miles of designated trout streams in the state.
The DNR website has a StreamFinder which has information on trout streams, species and regulations in Minnesota.
Anglers ages 18 to 64 must have a trout stamp in addition to a fishing license.
Minnesota’s walleye and pike seasons open May 11. Bass season opens May 25.
