MOORHEAD (KFGO) – Moorhead firefighters and police officers were able to quickly put out a fire in an apartment at 2430 36th Street South. It was reported shortly before 2 a.m. Thursday.
Battalion Chief Adam Puetz says it appears the fire started in an oven in one of the units in the three-story building. He says the alarm system alerted residents who were able to get out safely. There was some smoke in the apartment and the hallways. Once the smoke was cleared out, some 30 families were allowed to return to their apartments.
There were no injuries and a damage estimate was not available.
