BISMARCK, N.D. (KFGO) – U.S. Sen. John Hoeven is endorsing Republican Julie Fedorchak in the race for North Dakota’s U.S. House seat. .
Hoeven says he’s worked with Fedorchak in a variety of capacities.
“She always demonstrated strong leadership, a willingness to work with everyone, and a real ability to solve problems,” Hoeven says.
Fedorchak served as Hoeven’s state director from 2011 to 2012. She has been a Public Service Commissioner since 2013.
The endorsement comes just ahead of this weekend’s Republican Party convention in Fargo.
Former state representative Rick Becker of Bismarck, and Alex Balazs of Cando are also running as Republicans.
Trygve Hammer is running as a Democrat.
