DILWORTH, Minn. (KFGO) – The Dilworth City Council has voted 4-to-1 to make an offer to Milwaukee Police Lieutenant Justin Carloni to be next police chief.
City Administrator Peyton Mastera is hopeful the city can negotiate a favorable employment agreement with Caloni.
“Assuming we come to somewhat agreeable terms I would bring it to the commission for their consideration,” Mastera says.
The council will need to decide whether to approve the package he offers to Carloni. Mastera says if everything falls into place, there could be a vote to approve that package in two weeks at the next regular meeting.
Carloni has been with the Milwaukee police department since 1999.
Dilworth Police Investigator Hunter Rawson has been acting police chief since former chief Ty Sharpe resigned last May.
