BISMARCK, N.D. (KFGO) – Gov. Doug Burgum is endorsing Julie Fedorchak for North Dakota’s U.S. House seat.
Fedorchak, who is a Republican, has been a Public Service Commissioner since 2012.
Burgum says he’s worked with Fedorchak to strengthen the state’s economy and American energy.
“We stood up against the Obama administration who was supporting the DAPL protestors, and have fought back against Joe Biden’s attempts to destroy North Dakota communities, jobs, and the reliability and resiliency of our nation’s electrical grid,” Burgum says.
Burgum says Fedorchak would be a strong voice for conservatives.
Fedorchak will run against fellow Republican Tom Campbell in the June primary.
Trygve Hammer is running as a Democrat.
Congressman Kelly Armstrong announced that he would not seek re-election to the House and is running for governor.
