ST. PAUL, Minn. โ The Minnesota DFL is cheering a judgeโs recommendation to the state Supreme Court that the Legal Marijuana Now Party lose its major party status.
District Court judge Edward Wahl said the Legal Marijuana Now Party does not have the state committees required by statute and did not conduct any conventions in Minnesotaโs eight congressional districts or in at least 45 of the stateโs legislative districts in the 2022 election.
Wahlโs order also says the Minnesota Supreme Court should declare that the Legal Marijuana Now Party does not meet all the statutory requirements to maintain its status in the August primary and November general election.
DFL Chair Ken Martin filed the petition and said he was pleased with the courtโs findings.
